In all States the Fire Brigades are funded from a Fire Brigade Levy – in some states and Territories it is a tax and in the remainder it is linked to insurance policies. This is an inequitable situation where only some property owners paying for services. There needs to be a national system whereby all property owners contribute similar to a green slip for cars.
