As a Not-For-Profit organisation AUSTCOM has identified demand from local community groups and local business alike for the following services. We develop, provide access to the technology and outline the deployment processes for these services so that they can be a sustainably delivered from within each local community. We encourage local business to provide these services and have developed a programme to make it easy as possible for them to add these services to their current business plans. Ask about our 20/20/20 programme.
It is our aim that all community websites will have local business support sufficient to supply these services. However the skills required are not always present within local communities thus AUSTCOM provides them in house in the interim period.
A percentage of income from any service you purchase directly from AUSTCOM will go towards development of identified community projects that we see as necessary for increased local community sustainability. In fact the majority of both paid and volunteer hours performed in the AUSTCOM office are spent on community development projects.
