The Cyclerides Community Concept

The motivation to develop this concept is predominately the desire to connect the Australian cycling community, to make it easier to find people to ride with, easier to find places to ride anywhere in Australia and to share the knowledge and passion of cycling among  like minded people. We hope that what we have developed is something that you as a cyclist will derive great benefit from and it gives you the opportunity to broaden your cycling network and knowledge.

All Cyclerides members will receive their own "CycleBook Page", their very own one stop platform for connecting with both their local and broader cycling community.

No longer will you need to do the ring around to get a group together for a ride, now all you need to do is post it on your “CycleBook Page” and it will then show on all your “local peloton” members pages, you even have the option of it going to them as an email too. CycleBook offers many other ways to connect and communicate with your local and the broader cycling community.

The other major function of the Cyclerides Website to address the problem of finding somewhere to ride by providing ride maps and information in a simple format for cyclists to use when looking for rides anywhere in Australia. Find a ride now

There is nothing more frustrating for a keen cyclist who takes his bike with him everywhere to visit a town or region and not be able to easily source information on "where to ride".

This can only be achieved by getting cyclists Australiawide to contribute and help to build a cycling resource for all to share.

The ride information for this site has been gathered using Garmin's GPS fitness devices. These great gadgets are everything you need in the one instrument, a cycle computer, a GPS, a training log and a great training partner.

This site uses the technology that allows Garmin users to upload their rides directly onto the site to share with our cycling community. Users of other GPS devices are also able to upload their GPX files to the site by file transfer.

Its okay if you don't have a GPS device you can still view and print the rides that have been uploaded by other members.

All of the websites functions can be accessed directly from your CycleBook Page.
