Just read your excellent website.
I have been involved with developing wind turbine alternatives for 20 years or so.
Our original group was Satec, now we are trying to launch the Technology through HPW Turbines.
Not much support from Government, but hopefully it will change.

Dona,
Rob and I agree on more points than we disagree. We both regard sustainability as a critical issue. However, we have a couple of fundamental disagreements. Rob feels that the Earth is cooling, and states that sea level is rising at a rate of less than 1 mm per year. He has made these two comments in public, and they need to be strongly refuted. That is my aim for the debate. We will have a second debate in a few months time about solutions to the problem of anthropogenic climate change.

I have just read the accord, expecting it to be quite lengthy. Am now feeling quite insulted that the culmination of two weeks of dialogue has resulted in just three paragraphs of tripe,(or have I missed something); UKs' Greenpeace Ex.Dir. John Sauven summed it up the best. All leaders sadly lacked the courage to stand up, and volunteer a decent reduction, in which I believe through conscience, commonsense or commitment, others would have eventually followed suit. Nobody is beholden to another. Free will allows us to do the right thing, so to say 'we are in the clutches of big business, the mineralse lobby, and so on, is a poor excuse for inaction. Notetably, Matthew and CEFE, have started the ball rolling, and have been, from what I can see, the most successful in uniting the community for the betterment of our planet. Our councillors lack foresight, preferring to fix up the old, without implementing new suggestions, and strategies which would enable regional centres to flourish, independent of State of Federal interference. Is it always a question of money? No. CEFE has all the right qualities, and the right motive to forge ahead with the wonderful, exciting and challenging concepts awaiting to be realised. Could you become a political force? As to my previous entry, no offence meant, Matthew. What is the objective? Rob High, from what I hear, agrees that anthropogenic activities are wreaking havoc with the worlds eco systems, tipping the balance to a point of no return; my interpretation. Hence, a collaboration of two great minds, nutting it out, surely would be a dynamic beginning to the New Year. PS. The Snow Sign video was very moving -?-

So Matthew, Why are you bothering to debate Rob High. Isn't his mindset part of the problem. Isn't the whole point, about cleaning up our act. If you both came to the forum offering more solutions, and securing commitment from the community, wouldn't that be more constructive? People want to be engaged. But if some don't get it NOW, they never will!
