FREE WEBSITE

SIMPLY REGISTER AT NO COST IN YOUR COMMUNITY WEBSITE NETWORK

This creates a website in the network you can use to add content (words, images and more), load events (see events.org.au) with no hosting fee, and no limits to pages or file storage.

This is a free service for Community Groups, Businesses and Individual Users.

You will be logged in to your site on any web browser (we recommend 'Firefox' - available at mozilla.com) and you can begin editing using the Editing Tools in the banner which you will see when you are logged in.

To administer your presence in the network go to Site Tools in your menu, to load events, change your profile, add names and addresses to your own database, administer your online shop and more.

The content editing software becomes available when you are logged in and is provided by TYPO3, an Open Source package.

On registration, you will be directed to a Help section at austcom.org.au/help.html.

About this Community Network

The network provides an easy way for people to support their personal, community and business activities by using these websites and shared web communication tools.

The network has been developed and is run by a not-for-profit community group -  The Bega Valley Network Inc.

You can use the onboard tools to:

  • Build your own website for free
  • Direct a web address to your pages
  • Reflect the mutual support between community and businesses
  • Appear in the recent updates menu on the main Home page whenever you update your pages
  • Use the Events Calendar on the main Home page and your pages to promote your interests
  • Share your content with other local users or in other community websites to make combined information resources.
  • Get better Google ranking by participating in networks.
  • Make contact and promote yourself with local, national and overseas people
  • Make your own news using live articles distributed through the network (appears in many places)
  • Discover the many ways to be discovered within the various site navigation systemsfor details
  • Get involved because IT Support is always on hand
