Create New Content

The first step to adding text content is to choose the "Create New Content Element" Tool (B).

See Image 1.

We have labelled the tools A,B,C,D,E - to clearly identify them (as opposed to using numbers).

Choose Type of Content

1. Choose Content Type Part 1

Once you choose to create a new content element you are presented with a choice of types of content. See Image 2

For this example please select Regular Text Element.

Part 1 is the first series of options. See below for Part 2 of the series of options. The site supports many types of content (eg text, images, forms, file download, galleries, forums etc).

2. Choose Content Type Part 2

Image 3 shows you Part 2 of the series of the types of content you can load.

Each content type presents you with a slightly different content editor window.

3. Select the position of the content

You can now choose where you want the content element to sit on the page.

Content can be placed in the following columns:
Border - the menu column
Left
Normal
Right


There are also two 'special' columns:
Top Row
Bottom Row

These two 'special' columns make content appear (respectively) across the top and bottom of the page.

4. Add Text

Here you see the text editor screen with the Rich Text Editor.

You simply need to add a Header and Text.

You can type straight into the text editing panel - see Image 4.

5. Completed Text

Here you see a text editor completed.

Note the header or content title has been used.

6. Save Content

Here you see the Save options that appear at the TOP and BOTTOM of the content editor.

The save options are (from left to right):
Save - and stay in the editor window
Save and View - save and view your content in a new window
Save and Close - save and close the editor, refresh your existing page
Close without Saving - does not save !
