Graphic Design Services

Effective online design is critical. Your website is a storefront and the signage you place there provides the image and feel necessary for your online purpose.

Our Austcom design team can assist you to develop this presence. We offer design as part of many of the listed packages and, in addition, can provide graphic consultation for corporate image should you require it. We have extensive experience and a flair for this work.

Start by determining...

  • What information are most visitors likely to be looking for?
  • How can we ensure they can take a simple, direct route to that information?

The knowledge enables us to then assess how the graphical elements of the web pages can intuitively guide visitors to their objective(s).

Discipline...

Often, visitors seek to gather information from more than one page on a site. We believe it is essential that as a visitor moves through a site, every page must appear to bear a graphical relationship to all others and that all site tools (navigation, menus, links, dialogue boxes, etc) must, in appearance and screen location, be similar in all pages.

It is important, then, that as a site grows in size, additional pages must adhere to the graphical parameters established at the outset. This is the 'look' of the site and it must be followed as rigidly as adherence to brand reproduction specifications is, quite rightly, insisted upon by businesses in other media.

Towards Website Excellence...

Just as a library is for readers and not writers, a website is for visitors and not hosts. The primary objective in posting information on a website is to enable visitors to access it readily and easily. The extent to which this is achievable is how we judge website quality.
There is no linear 'quality design path', rather a set of principles, as briefly discussed here, which lead to design that is both attractive and functional. Past experience, an ability to listen and discuss, creative thought and technical ability in implementation are all critical factors. RPDesign is committed to applying these factors in a manner that achieves the primary objective: an excellent website.
