Climate Torch relay

Over the 2008 October long weekend, Philippa Rowland took the Climate Torch to CEFE chapters across SE NSW from the Snowy Mountains to the sea. In the Snowy Mountains, the Torch was skied down what little snow was left in Thredbo, celebrated at the Jindabyne surf club, where renewable energy was installed earlier in the year, then transported to Cooma.

The Cooma soccer club

CEFE are raising money for renewable energy for the Cooma soccer club.

Bega seed savers

The torch was then transported down to Bega, where the Bega seed savers met up in Littleton Gardens.

Tathra surf club

The Climate Torch arrived at the Tathra surf club on 6/8/08. Tathra surf club is the birth place of LifeSaving Energy, and a big turnout of club members welcomed the torch to the coast.

Mysterious water tank

As the torch made its way towards Eurobodalla, it stopped off at a mysterious water tank with 50/50 by 2020 painted on its side.

Climate Torch Movie

From the Snowy Mountains to the Far South Coast, the Climate Torch goes through Thredbo, Cooma, Bega, Tathra and Cobargo, and is used to showcase the regions 50/50 by 2020 target and "LifeSaving Energy". Click below...
