Over the 2008 October long weekend, Philippa Rowland took the Climate Torch to CEFE chapters across SE NSW from the Snowy Mountains to the sea. In the Snowy Mountains, the Torch was skied down what little snow was left in Thredbo, celebrated at the Jindabyne surf club, where renewable energy was installed earlier in the year, then transported to Cooma.

The Climate Torch arrived at the Tathra surf club on 6/8/08. Tathra surf club is the birth place of LifeSaving Energy, and a big turnout of club members welcomed the torch to the coast.
